We have been having the most splendid cool autumn-like weather recently. Even though we should be in the heatwaves of summer, we've been blessed with some chilly days. I love autumn and cannot wait for it to officially start.
So I put on my favourite cool weather dress, a trench coat, and headed to go and see a big band and a display of beautiful vintage cars on the day when we are supposed to patriotic. Im not patriotic. Why would I celebrate something that is flawed?
That aside, here is the only photo I took of my outfit when I got home so I do apologise for the state of my room.
Dress - 1940's from Sydney Love Vintage fair
Stockings - What Katie Did
Shoes - my "old lady" shoes from an op shop
Trench - unisex 70's from ebay
Here are some awesome cars...
Mmmm Deco detailing.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
I'll take it!
Cute details.
Another dream car.
Saw a couple with these wooden wheel...thingies. I know nothing about car parts.
This one! Definitely needs to be my car.
Ok bye! Until next time,

They may be granny shoes - but I love them! You look fabulous as always. The cars look pretty too.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress! Simple and sweet :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the dress here, really suits the occasion! Vintage cars + vintage dress = Love! You'll look even better if you take home the car in photo number 2. hahaha!

I really like this dress because it is simple and worth as well. I think with your dress above given photos of vintage cars are also looking superb.

A showcase of the grandfathers of all cars that paved the road to modern cars is truly a sight to see. These cars might be outdated, but for those who still own one, you should try to restore them because they are just a thing of beauty! I once bought a 1975 VW beetle and restored to mint condition. I even upgraded the sound system and overhauled its interiors. Since then, I have been using the same beetle and I have had no problems with it.
