Mexican party

I finally got around to meeting Gabrielle from Drama Of Exile this week. I went into her work, which is an awesome Mexican store with lots of random beautiful things, to look at a dress she is selling on her etsy. Unfortunately the dress was too big for me and it turns out I can't really pull off drop waist 1920s dresses...boo!

All the colours! Normally I love my muted tones but I have a soft (or giddy) spot for bright colours.

I love this wall of hearts!
After a long chat we decided to go for some after work drinks having discovered that we are kindred spirits and have alot of similiar interests other then our love of vintage.

The lovely lady herself looking adorable.
Very excited for a day of lovely vintage melbournians at the picnic Im organising.

  2. I think I need this store in my life. Dare I ask where it is? (And eek, so excited for the picnic!)

    1. It is on Gertrude Street. Amor Y Luca is the name. The picnic is going to be swell! I will send out a reminder email next week for everyone.

  3. That's a shame about the drop waist not suiting you - me neither! Oh well, I do love fitted waists anyway. I would like to get a 1920s's inspired dress because then I'd have the look but with the modern fit which would be more flattering one me.

Love those photo frames in the first picture!

    1. It's a hard look to pull off, especially with an hourglass shape. That's why I quite like early 1930's when it became more fitted but still similiar to the 20's styles.
