I did a little vintage shopping yesterday and came across this AMAZING dress. I practically passed out when I tried it on and it was my exact measurements. It's handmade and my dating skills aren't the best but it looks rather late 1930's to me. It had been so lovingly hand made and the fabric is so lovely and soft the way nicely worn in cotton goes.
It's also the perfect colouring for my hair at the moment. Sorry about my messy room, Im yet to find my tripod so it's always balancing on something in an awkward spot.
I also think it goes rather nicely with my 40's hat. I didn't wear this out though because it's rather extreme and would only be appreciated by like minded folk...not the general population of Melbourne.
I was having a reasonably good hair day so took some nice close ups to show how happy I was with my waves.
Note the 2 little 'spit curls' that I've been putting in most days.
My hair is still so short that curls are not easy so even after sleeping in pin curls I still had to use my curling iron on the front. My waves will also sit so much better when my fringe is completely grown out.
Still in love with the colour which stayed put after it's first wash...with a helping hand of copper shampoo though.
I had a splendid day visiting my favourite cafe Captains of Industry, then a drawing class at the NGV followed by a quick trip to the library and home for an afternoon snack.
I haven't forgotten about my Miss Lemon hair attempt, soon soon!
